Briefly about the car

ZiS 5, 1936. Original. The car runs without issues. Can be reformatted. The
car is interesting for participating in parades and holidays. For
transportation of people - in the cabin there are 2 people, in the back there
is an original box for transporting awnings and 3 benches, covered with leather
for transporting people, 6 people each. In total, 18 people fit in the back.
After the Second World War, the brakes were modernized. The mechanical brakes
have been replaced with hydraulic ones and the machine is equipped with turn
signals. However, since the post-war years, the car has not been used. It was
like a museum piece. There is an awning sewn according to the original cut of
the 30s with leather inserts. Plus there is a "tent - stage" for
using the car as a stage for the performance of artists.

History of car

In 1936, the car was built and was working in the national economy. After
the outbreak of the Second World War, the car was mobilized and in the summer
of 1941 was working in the Central House of the Army on University Square. On
October 24, 1941, Kharkov was occupied by the forces of the 6th Wehrmacht Army
under the command of Walter von Reichenau. The city was surrendered almost
without a fight. The heaviest fighting took place in the center, on
Universitetskaya Street, next to the location of the car.

In February 1943, in the process of developing the offensive of the Soviet
Army, launched after the Battle of Stalingrad, Kharkov was liberated by the
forces of the Voronezh Front under the command of General F.I. Golikov.
However, the counter-offensive of the German troops in March 1943 led to the
second surrender of the city to a group consisting of the first and second SS
divisions under the command of General Hausser. And the car was again in
occupation for the second time. After the second occupation of Kharkov by German troops, a team of German
soldiers called "EK-5" arrived in the city. Their leadership occupied
the Central House of the Army, where the car was located. And in August 1943,
the city was finally liberated during the Kharkov-Belgorod operation by the
actions of the 69th Army of the Voronezh Front, the 57th Army of the
Southwestern Front and the 7th Guards Army of the Steppe Front. Kharkov
Liberation Day, August 23, has since become a city holiday, in the 1980s called
City Day. In general, in a place with the inhabitants of Kharkov, the car was
in occupation for 641 days.

For the third time, the car got into occupation after 80 years, being in
the Kyiv region in the city of Brovary in the old hangar of the Torgmash plant.
To prevent the car from becoming a military trophy, it was transported several
times hiding from the Russian military who captured Brovary. On April 1, 2022,
the Russian army left Brovary. In general, the legendary car survived two wars
and three occupations.
